- Preheat skillet (cast iron preferred) over medium high heat and add oil.
- Place frozen burgers on skillet and pan sear for 4–6 minutes.
- Butter the buns and lightly toast in separate pan.
- Flip burgers, add butter to pan and top with lid for an additional 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together all tartar sauce ingredients.
- Assemble each burger by slathering each side of the bun with tartar sauce, then sandwich with burger, lettuce and tomato. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon plant-based butter
- 2 plant-based brioche buns
- 4 leaves butter lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced
For Horseradish Tartar Sauce (yields 1/2 cup)
- 1/3 cup plant-based mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup dill relish, well drained
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
