- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- In a separate pan, add squash, cashews, garlic, bay leaves, and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook 5-6 minutes or until squash is tender.
- Drain squash and remove bay leaves.
- Add cooked squash, cashews and garlic to a high-speed blender along with milk, olive oil, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, salt and pepper and blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Toss cheese sauce, tuna, peas and cooked pasta together.
- Pour mixture into a casserole dish and top with fried onions.
- Place casserole dish into oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, then add more crispy onions on top just before serving.

- ½ cup raw cashews
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 block cubed plant-based American cheese
- 1 ½ cups plant-based milk
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
